Located in a valley about 85 miles south-east of Mexico City, Puebla is also known as the City of Angels. The city of Puebla is the capital of the state of the same name. It’s best known for its Colonial architecture, the “cinco de mayo” battle, its talavera pottery, and lucious cuisine.

7. Paso de Cortés.

Experience an active walking tour at the foot of the twin volcanoes of Pópoca-tépetl and Ik-sta-sí-watl at 3,800 meters above sea level. This place was named after the famous Spanish conqueror, Hernán Cortés, who rode through it more than 500 years ago from the valley of Puebla to Tenóchtitlan, today known as Mexico City.

You will enjoy short hiking routes surrounded by a beautiful landscape in the mountain forest.
